Healthy Living: Slow Cooker Split Pea Soup with Chorizo

1 lb bag split peas
10 cups chicken broth
1/2 lb diced chorizo
1 1/2 cups carrots
1 cup shallots
1 cup celery
1 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
salt & pepper

Add it all to a slow cooker and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
